X is obviously Mr Xi Yu, Chairman and majority shareholder of New Universe (8068). It's a classic case of "One Country, Two Families". The intervener (mistress), a Ms Chu Yuk Ying, is the sister of the husband of Candy Cheung Siu Ling, an ED of New Universe. Mr Xi has a Honduran passport as "Hurley Xi". The judge held that while working for Sinochem, Mr Xi traded plastics for his own advantage via companies held by the Chu family. Surely a case for the ICAC to investigate?

It later emerged in a Court of Appeal judgment on 13-Nov-2012 that Madam Chu Yuk Ying is the Chairman Mr Xi Yu's mistress, and that this announcement was issued just after Judge Carlson on 9-Apr-2009 had ruled that New Asia was 87.5% owned by Mr Xu (later amended to 83.1% by Judge Saunders and upheld in the Court of Appeal) as stated in the original announcement.
