For cutting and pasting a signature from page 4 to page 2 of a form, which the client had failed to sign. He was nabbed when a colleague found the doctored page 2 in the photocopier. So, maybe don't do that. He follows in the footsteps of Chui Chau Mang, who worked at the same bank and also left her doctored form in the copier and was suspended by the HKMA for 4 months in 2021.

The HKMA was originally going to ban him for 15 months, but then he appealed to the SFAT and then ducked a hearing by lying to them about undergoing quarantine after a business trip to the mainland - it wasn't a business trip and he wasn't in quarantine. The moral of the story is: when you are in a hole, stop digging. His offence was failing to disclose his brokerage accounts and dealings to his employer for 7 years.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Ryan Gwee Yuan Kerr left Standard Chartered in Nov-2011. A Standard Chartered press release from 17-Jan-2011 announcing his appointment as Head of Private Banking, China, stated that he had then been with the bank for over 10 years. The ICAC does not name the "chairman cum major shareholder of an insurance company" who allegedly bribed Mr Gwee.

Bankruptcy orders against Mr Marszalek and Mr Yu are annulled. Standard Chartered Bank had obtained the orders after they defaulted on guarantees for HK$18m of loans to Starline International Group Ltd. A Mr Wong Kam Wing has come to the rescue, providing full settlement so that the pair can sell their latest loss-making venture, Buy Together Hong Kong Ltd (operator of BeeCrazy.hk), for cash and shares in a pre-IPO company. Note: this later turns out to be iBuy Group Ltd, which listed on ASX in Dec-2013 after buying the HK firm for US$21m including US$8.4m in cash.
